This little fish is seen everywhere on the reef here in Bonaire, shallow water, deep water, around hard coral and soft coral. They come in many colour variations, whitish, brownish, yellowish, blackish, but they all have lots of spots and a triangular shaped body. The trunkfish swims slowly by fluttering its dorsal, pectoral and anal fins.
The juvenile trunkfish looks almost like a dice. Small, squarish and polka dotted!
